Sal Hernandez: Asst. Professor, School of Civil and Construction engineering, Oregon State University. Has over nine years of researching and utilizing large scale disaggregate datasets for developing strategic, tactical, and operational models to address supply chain and logistics problems. In addition, his methodological research interests and expertise are in the areas of econometric and mathematical modeling of consumer behavior where he studies individuals, groups, or organizations to better understand their behavior related to all activities associated with the purchase, use and disposal of goods and services. In addition, he is a leading expert in Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety. He has received multiple research grants from Oregon, Texas and Idaho departments of transportation, USDOT UTC (PacTrans), and USDA.
