As COO at Angelsoft, Ryan Janssen did more than any chief officer I've ever worked with. He participated in technology meetings, spearheaded product development, communicated directly with customers, and even kept tabs on budget. He was truly passionate about and dedicated to the product as well, speaking very openly and honestly about where our successes and failures were. Perhaps most importantly, though, he fostered a casual, lighthearted work environment, where he got to know every employee on some sort of personal level. As a result of all this, Ryan was a true leader, not just because he truly understood how the company worked from top to bottom, but because he understood us as people. Without a doubt, he gave us his trust and respect, and because of that, he didn't just get mine in return--he earned it.
