My work requires a lot of public speaking, from presentations and meetings to media appearances. As I have spent a lot of time in the past two years doing various types of public speaking, I considered myself experienced enough in the art of public speaking and communication skills. I was thus quite surprised when I was contacted by the TEDx organizational board that I will have assistance from a TEDx speakers' coach in the preparation of my talk. I wasn't sure how much this would help me, but I accepted. It turned out that I have naively underestimated the importance of training. In this particular case, the experience which I've had and my good knowledge of the subject matter about which I planned to talk about were in fact not nearly enough for a good enough talk for such an important conference as TEDx. After our first introduction, already at the second meeting with Relja I have realized the importance of training. He has understood very well the essence of what I wanted to talk about. Togther with lots of exercises and training for dealing with stage-fright, we have also worked a lot on the art of communicating with the audience. Relja knew how to guide me down the right road with precise questions and bits of advice; How to make my message more effective, clearer and leave a stronger impression on the audience - and that is the essence of each public speech. Apart from a high level of professionalism, working with Relja was interesting, pleasant and very constructive. The entire experience has led me to the understanding that public speaking and communication skills are one of those skills that should always be practised and perfected.

Relja did an exceptional job preparing all the speakers for TEDxBelgrade conference. I have to admit that I had no idea how is he gonna be able to help all the different speakers on different subjects, but he was "on top of the game".
