I’ve been working on Upwork for the past 5 years, but it’s becoming less effective now. What should I do to start getting clients outside of Upwork?
Optimise your profile on LinkedIn to be a sales landing page - add a headline which say who you help and with what. Add a banner with a a clear, call to action.
Post 3x a week with examples of your work, but always lead with the problem the client was facing. Use the PAS framework. Format posts for mobile - long paragraphs are not your friend!
Start commenting on other people's posts to demonstrate your expertise. Connect with 20-30 new connections every week, but don't pitch slap them to start with as it's a huge turn off!
