MenuMy CPA cost on PPC channels has sky-rocketed 120% this year, I suspect a competitor has launched a campaign to drive up my CPA costs. See details..
How do I prove this, and respond? I don't think its a coincidence that this is happening while an entire competing industry has launched a smear campaign through media channels as my CPA has sky-rocketed. Happy to hop on a call if there is an expert in this area.
If I can't get my CPA's down I'm screwed.

Assuming this is a search campaign, you should be able to see if any new competitors are regularly showing for your keywords. I would also investigate if CPCs have changed (or just conversion rate), how your impression share has changed, and how your average position has changed.
If their campaigns are profitable, they will probably continue to run them. Your best bet in the meantime is to optimize your CPC, CTR (helps with CPCs), and conversion rate. You have the history and experience, which should be to your advantage against a new competitor.
There are third party click fraud and forensics companies that can investigate this for you. You can also call Google (866-2-google) and ask them to investigate...
In the mean time you could block specific IP addresses in your AdWords settings to block your competitor from clicking on your ad...
In general, unless you are constantly optimizing your CPAs will naturally go up as more advertisers enter the auction for your keywords. Take a look at your impression share report and you historical ctr's to see if anything changes drastically....
In general, Google is pretty good about detecting click fraud and not charging you for it, but it can't hurt to verify...
If you need deeper proof you can match up your serverlogs to AdWords reporting and show any discrepancies to Google.

I am not an expert on CPA advertising. But, I am surprised that your advertising provider does not have a fraud protection mechanism in place. Have you reported your suspicions to the agency? Anyone know if facebook's ad manager allows you to create new accounts with clients credit card or can you only have one account with one card?
I have more than 7 years of experience in digital marketing, managed over $50,000 in ad spend on various social media networks and currently managing over 30 Social media assets for various clients. You can add as many Funding sources to your Facebook Ad account as you want but all campaigns in your Ad account would be charged to the Primary funding source failing which the secondary and so on. How do we get influencers to work on a commission basis? We ran out of $ on PPC campaigns. I need an influencer expert.
Some of those same influencers who turned you down might have written about your service if you hadn't offered to pay them. You should have instead sent them a bag of dicks. If they're a celebrity, you can get their agent's address from http://contactanycelebrity.com/ (it sounds fake, but it's actually totally legit, agents actually send them info). If they don't have an agent, try to look for a 'fan mail' address that they might have posted on a video or something. If you can't get any relevant address, then look up their friends on social media instead, and offer to pay them $xxx cash to send a back of dicks to their friend, and a cut of whatever orders end up being generated by that (if the influencer ends up writing about it). There are more techniques you can use to get influencers to post for free about it. Should I set up multiple adword accounts for multiple websites or just one adword account for multiple websites?
It all depends on whether they are all selling the same thing to the same persona. If yes, then combine all the campaigns into one adwords account, which feeds into one analytics account. That way they can get feedback on the effectiveness of different keywords, ads, etc. more quickly (because there will be more data, from all the different websites, all in one place, for a particular keyword). If they are each selling different things, or to different personas, then don't combine their accounts, because it will just make things confusing and not useful from an analysis perspective.LV
