MenuProfile sites like AirBnB (or any that users create their own profiles/websites)?
Answers
Hi,
Yes WP Multisite if you want separate sites per person (i.e. per profile), but if you basically want a Membership/ listing site, like AirBnB with profiles, there are a few good ways to do this. The main one is to use custom fields on a dashboard so the users can easily change their profile, colours etc. without much effort.
I was going to do something similar called ArtBnB with which artists can go and stay places (with other artists), I think it was a concept by a Finnish artist. I didn't do it in the end, but to try and help you get your head around this;
Wether you want to create a niche microsite that your users pay for each month i.e. a nihce blog, a full online service, or a listing site for whatever concept you have, that sends you a percentage of the payment when rented (via Stripe), there is absolutley a way to do it, and without paying ridiculous monthly fees.
Please do contact me if you would like to have a further discussion or potentially I can work with you, to help make your project work. I have experience in this, and an unlimited license for a particular WaaS software that I think would help if you want to do what I am imagining.
WP Multisite allows you to create multiple sites from one installation of WordPress. It is a feature which can be used to have several blogs or websites on the same domain, while still being able to manage them all from within the same super admin panel. Each user can have seperate admin for their own profile.
The basic setup of WP Multisite works as follows: You create a network of websites, each with its own domain name and separate database. Then you can configure the site to run on different hosts (usually by specifying which IP address the site should use), install custom themes, plugins, or other applications on each site in your network. All these are treated as independent installations of WordPress and will have their own menu structures and options pages within the main dashboard area of your blog.
WP membership site is a WordPress based membership website. The membership site has been developed with the use of WordPress which makes it very easy to manage and update content on the website. The WP Membership site uses a plugin that allows you to create a store for your products or services, add custom fields for users to enter their details, set up payment gateways and send out email newsletters.
The Membership site can be used by various types of businesses such as eCommerce sites, B2B portals, product catalogs and many more. It is quite easy to install because all you need is a WordPress installation and then you can get started with adding features to your Membership site. You don't have to be an expert in PHP programming because this project does not require any coding skills from the user's side apart from using some basic HTML knowledge. The whole process of setting up a free account on the web hosting company takes only minutes so there is no point wasting time looking for another web host that may charge too much just because they do not offer any free trials.
In your case, it would be ideal to create a marketplace with specific features like Something where users can log in to their own admin and create their profile/sites based on an established template, but they can customize with their own color scheme, upload their own images, fill-in-the-blank content, etc.

How much should I pay to rebuild a website?
This is a bit of a complex question to answer, but assuming is a typical service based business website where you are using primarily for SEO, Marketing, and informational purposes - the cost is or should be very relatively low. Depending on the type of build you prefer, whether you hire a developer who knows SEO to build your website natively friendly with SEO or not will affect your final price. Not every designer is a good developer or good SEO person. But I would say, even with SEO for a basic informational website with good SEO structure should be no more than $3,000 usd... custom designing and complex animations or backend data entry would of course drive the cost up. We did some service informational sites in the past that ended up racking the clients' total to $30k. This isn't common but they were a big client with complex systems on the backend while the front end was informational only for guests.HV

What is cross linking in seo?
Cross linking refers to the process of linking between two websites. Whether or not they are owned by the same person, cross linking is the process on which the internet is built. It allows users to reference sites with content similar to that which they are already viewing, and may be of further interest to them.VM

How would you re-develop Clarity's website?
I would hurl myself toward getting the following working first: * User signup (default to user) * Profile setup (photo, etc). * Add Stripe information * Make it easy to share the link to my profile * Enable Expert-mode, to answer phone calls * Enable Twilio for calls * Set Hourly-rate for calls * Build/program API to handle conference calls etc * Connect to LinkedIn / Facebook / Twitter for 'verification' I wouldn't spend time with any Javascript frameworks etc at first. Just make it usable and not a pain for people to get in and make a phone call, or edit their profile. Other than that, Clarity is very well built as it is. I'm sure you're trying to build this for a specific business.CG

What is the best technology for creating web based project?
The best technology is whatever gets you up and running the quickest. You'll throw away the first iteration (and possibly the second and third...) anyway. What you need most in the beginning is to test your idea and get feedback, and you need it fast.DK

In your opinion, why is it that most websites do not make money for their owners and how can they be designed to turn a profit?
You have to have something worth selling....and position it properly which means clear calls to action. Most sites are informative and miss the calls to action...people are lazy, they won't look hard. Personally I leave if not interestedKF
