There are no lenders that offer a fixed rate SBA business loan because SBA's fixed rate loan program is only for real estate backed loan. The SBA 7A program which is for non-real estate business acquisitions are variable rate loans. They are available as 10 year fully amortizing loans but they do not have a pre-payment penalty so you can pay them off early or refinance to a non-SBA loan at a later date. Book a call with me if you need more SBA info or want to discuss other lending options.

Are immigration lawyers forced to decline clients because the prospective new client is unable to pay the immigration lawyer their fee?
Let's first of all position who are the audiences for an Immigration Firm. If we classified immigration into: 1- Skilled immigration (Employees), and 2- Business Immigration (Investors) Skilled Immigration fees are affordable and due to the high competition the Professional Fees are competitive and payment plans are there to attract more clients. HINT: Despite that, Applicants have to conduct an overall check up about the credibility of their meant immigration consultants. On the other hand, Business Immigration which involves a bigger amounts of fees and investment are treated somehow different. As per the country of destination and the route of immigration which is almost limited between Property Investment, Financial Instruments Investment and Donation varieties of payments plans are offered to attract Investors. In other words, Legal Fees and Processing Fees are considered as a small portion of the Deal which doesn't shape a concern to Migrant Investors rather than the tool used for immigration and the success rate of that firm. HINT: When choosing an immigration program it is preferable not to pick Immigration firms relying only on RCBI programs (Residency & Citizenship by Investment) as the risk lies in the project continuity as per the demand which to some extent can delay the whole immigration files under that project.IA

How do I jump-start my business cash flow when transitioning from consultant to full-service business?
You need a source of capital to carry you through the receivables period. Basically you've got three options: -Borrow money to finance the receivables -Find investors to contribute equity to finance receivables -Sell the receivables (factoring) or some combination of these. In my experience you're talking about making the same leap that a bathroom renovator might make to become a home-building contractor. The difference in that business is also capital. Arrange a call if you'd like to discuss your particular case. I can run through a few questions with you and help point you in the right direction. Best, David BarnettDC

How do I get $500k - $1m in capital for marketing expenses for 3-6 months?
If your looking for financing and not wanting to give up equity you could try to get venture debt. Check out Hercules http://www.htgc.com/ and their competitors these companies can provide big loans. Be ready to provide a lot of info on your company and your financial health. Be aware these companies exist to make money so make sure you end up with payments you can handle. You'll also have loan covenants which will outline certain financial performance metric you'll need to hit. If you miss covenants your loan terms will change for the worse and it can even end up with bank taking control of your company. Obviously a worst case scenario, but you need to be aware and make sure you are very comfortable with the covenants you agree to. - mikeMW

Should I add my business to my resume for my start up loan application?
I started my last company and grew it with $20,000 to $12 million in 10 years. And while I was in the early phases, I did put in on my resume.. So, I believe you should. If it is a registered business entity and you are working it, it is still what you are doing, regardless of revenue of the company. If you are performing the tasks in your position, it shows you have been attempting to launch as well as (hopefully) prevents any gaps in employment. It also shows a level of commitment to your venture. We specialize in assisting startups with business plans and structure, so fee free to contact me for additional questions.CD
