MenuHow can I find a quality printer in NYC to publish a book of my company's past work?
I am an art director and would like to publish a book/ portfolio of my work and would like referrals for book publishers who would print about 100 books that need to be a certain dimension to fit customized boxes we already designed - any leads would be appreciated.

For 100 books (extremely small run), likely best to use a POD (print on demand) service like Blurb or Amazon's similar service (name escapes me right now).
Way cheaper to self publish any run size + especially so for small runs.

How should I go about rebranding a fashion marketplace with the concept
of second hand clothing to new brand clothing?
Hey! The first thing that you should consider when trying to rebrand is identify your market's most common objections. Why are consumers hesitant to purchase second hand clothing? Once you've identified these problem factors, you can start developing a strong marketing strategy. For example, second hand clothing often triggers thoughts of "old", "worn out", or even "out of style." None of these are very appealing, and will force consumers to look the other way. Consider how you can effectively combat these thoughts. A possible solution may be how you're marketing your products. If you're selling products piece by piece, you could try marketing entire outfits. By showcasing the second hand pieces as an entire outfit, you can show consumers that the items are very much in style. As someone who has always struggled with being stylish, buying second hand clothes can be very intimidating. This is especially true for people who don't feel they have the fashion sense to accurately pair unique items and create a great outfit. By selling the pieces as entire outfits, you take the guesswork out of the styling process and make it easy for these people to buy. I hope this begins to spark some creative ideas for you as you rebrand your marketplace. I'd love to speak with you about this some more, and develop a strong strategy together. Please feel free to give me a call!KM

What is the most important attribute for a successful high-end lifestyle clothing brand to have?
Your brand must conjure associations beyond the clothing itself. Fabric is only fabric. Attractive design matters, but market competition is enough to drive down prices. If you intend to ask a premium, then your product line must SUGGEST more than it literally is. Eventually, certain brands reach maturity and can point to an established reputation or high-profile adoption by the rich and famous. But you can start out by honing a brand "story" that captivates attention. Parts of that story are visual; others are verbal. Naming -- which is a large part of what I do -- is crucial when it comes to instantaneous unconscious communication. The right name tells your story for you on first contact with investors or consumers. Thereafter, it echoes in the mind, resonating with associations people bring to your product from their own experiences. Those associations add value. This is true whether you're a luxury brand or a maker of upscale outdoor gear like Patagonia, which takes its name from rugged South American highlands. In addition to your brand name, I would recommend paying close attention to all of your written copy. Make it unified and stylish ... in whatever way best fits your product line and intended audience.JP

What is the best option for printing items to sell on my website?
WooCommerce is what you would use to bridge the gap between your customers and your vender (Printful or Printify). Both of those vendors have pros and cons. What did you find in your own investigation?SN
