We believe we have a good page but we want a great page that converts to pre-sales of our SaaS platform for Small Businesses.
If you're not a the person for the job, do you know where I can find such a person? I already know about Upwork and Fiverr...
This is a very good question actually, not because is common nor because is requires a complex answer. Many entrepreneurs and advertisers (not marketers) think that copy is what helps generate sales or leads when in fact is a combination of things. As a marketer for many organizations globally, I can tell you that copy is probably the last of our worries when it comes to figuring out what generates us sales or leads.
The main focus should always be on identifying who your target audience is, knowing what makes them tick and what moves them will help you identify exactly what to offer them, the words to use that relate to them - essentially by default having a good copy that helps convert.
For example, I create a buyer persona to get into the mindset of my target audience and to help understand where to better share my product or content once is created.
Then I develop a 'journey' to help identify the possible stages in which this persona might come across my content or product - I use this create targeted content and landing pages from that content or share, then follow to necessary calls to action. Whether CTA is buy, donate, download, click to next page - you need to understand their journey stage and provide steps for each of the target's stage.
In your case, you would need to identify people who can relate to the problem you are trying to solve and then simply propose a solution in simple terms not salesy, pitchy jargon or offers or stories - simple context of the problem and solution but identifying who they are can help you share that simple solution to them through the right channels and at the right time.
If you would like some more information of help with this, please feel free to consider me or my team at www.Unthink.me - we are known as the most helpful global agency for small businesses and we use Hubspot. We currently have 2 SaaS (+$1Mil revenue) related clients so we know this approach well. Thank you for reading.
While I agree with the above statement that generating sales comes down to a combination of things, the sales copy is still important. Yes, you need to have a deep understanding of your buyer and what triggers them. And yes, you need to send quality traffic to your offer. However, these things alone will not generate sales if you're not able to communicate effectively. That's why you need to find a copywriter who understands these elements, and can translate it into great sales copy.
I'd be happy to discuss this project with you to see if I can assist. Please let me know if you'd like to jump on a call.
Talk to you soon,
Agreed with Humberto...it's a combination of factors.
The copywriter is a Conversion specialist. That's AFTER the visitor has already arrived.
Where you're likely to get your biggest bang for your buck is in the Traffic. How many people are coming to your Kickstarter page, and how pre-qualified are they to see your offer/presentation?
If you get a Traffic source of 20,000 gardeners, that's of no value for your SaaS Kickstarter page, is it. And no copywriter is going to convince those gardeners to part with their money to support a SaaS.
Put your focus on finding pre-qualified lead sources to send to your page. Influencers to talk about you. Places potential users hang out.
A mediocre offer to the right audience will always outperform a fantastic offer presented to the wrong audience.
