MenuWhat are the affordable video hosting services similar to vdocipher, that provide encrypted video streaming options?
We want to share training videos on our new website. I want to ensure that users cannot download these using any 3rd party browser extensions or services just as they do it from youtube or vimeo. I found vdocipher which provides such Encryption, Any more such services? Seeking a low budget option since videos will be available free for students.

I would recommend that you check out http://wistia.com/ - I use them for all my videos. Public and privately.
Thanks Thomas, I had already talked to Wistia support team before posting the Ques here. They do not provide any encrypted streaming service (similar to that of vdocipher), and they cannot ensure that the videos are not downloadable by using any 3rd party browser extensions/services. I am looking for something similar to what vdocipher provides.
Brightcove is a popular one, and one that we have heard good things about. https://www.brightcove.com/en/online-video-platform/delivery

Does a high quality explainer video generate higher customer conversions than a low quality explainer video?
If your talking about the pixel quality it depends on your brand. The content of the video is far more important. You should take into account on a broader level whether an explain-er video will increase conversions verse a text based explanation due to trade offs. Video: Visual elements help with user experience and also increase transparency with brand. The con is that search engines can't read video's and only the video description will be recognizable. (A work around is having a transcript of the video which may take away from the user experience). Also video's decrease your websites page speed. Text: This will allow people and search engines to read your content. May decrease visitors engagement and increase bounce rate. Solution: I have been in a position where we did an A/B text on having a video verse image to explain the concept. Turns out both performed nearly identical. We choose the image because videos hurt page speed. Page speed is a part of Google's algorithm for search engine results. Consider creating a landing page with bullet points around customers pain points (not your product/service benefits) with a CTA that takes them to your video or offer. With an explain-er video I'm guessing your offering an unique product or service.KP

How to batch watermark videos on a Mac faster than real time?
I remember that Adobe Media Encoder used to have options for water marking. Check that and possibly, but unlikely Apple Compressor out. Hope that helps!CM

How to get more monetized YouTube views?
Yes, you need to sell something that earns you money beyond the YouTube advertising. I've had a channel for years and sell books, courses, Clarity calls and consulting. YouTube is a great platform for selling yourself and your expertise but as more people come on board, the revenues from advertising falls. Arrange a call if you'd like to brainstorm some ideas. What are some good solutions to driving up YouTube views on my recent TEDx video?
I like to approach these things with big wins. One, ask yourself who your message would help? Who would find this really valuable? It may not be people you'd typically think. Look outside of your industry. Find where those people hangout online. Where are they on Facebook? What are they reading? etc. Then brainstorm ways that you can show up on those channels. For example: let's say your peeps love Forbes. Have you pitched Forbes yet? Or let's say that mommy bloggers would go crazy for your idea (so you think). You hit up some of them via email and tell them you'd love to share this free content. You'd think it'd be valuable. Content creators are always in the biz of finding more great content. So, when you can provide it and it makes sense (your job is to show why it makes sense) then people are happy to promote. The scariest part about this is pitching it because it can feel vain. The key is thinking about those you're helping, removing yourself from the equation and releasing the outcome. Then see what happens :) Happy to discuss in detail how you can find potential partners to promote your work, formulate the pitch and even create some email templates for you to send out on a call. Shoot me a message if you want to set up a call.LB

We know videos 'should' be 1-2 mins, but our homepage video has many key msgs. At 2.50 mins we're happy with it. Is this ever acceptable?
A 2 minute explainer video is like being chained to a wheel of injustice. Seriously :) when did you manage to get through a 2 minute video without leaving or skipping? 1min to 1.5mins TOPS. Break the other deeper aspects into short form video explanations or separate the feature set out as a separate video. Homepage video: 1. Help the viewer identify with the problem 2. Ask leading questions (creates a curious mindset 3. Tell them about the solution quickly and the differentiator (now Bob can travel fro x>y 1.5 times faster and cheaper than any competitor whilst Joe, Shmo and Clet get to be drivers without a $1m medallion). 4. Summarize 5. CTA The rest you can explain in deeper pages with feature-set explainer videos(even shorter! Bite size chunks that make you want to watch more... Like eating some small tasty M&Ms)EE
