Need more info on low end android accelerometer API tech. Where can I find this kind of information aggregated?

We are moving into android development with our mhealth platform now that our iOS is up and running in enterprise pilots, we know where we stand with samsung, but where can we find info on accelerometers for the low end priced android market? We want to make our platform work in low income patients and especially the pedometer is a key feature? Of particular interest are walmart android and family dollar low end androids.
