MenuIs there any plugin available to measure monthly active registered users?
I want to know is there any javascript or plug and play tool available which I can use for my website to measure how many monthly, weekly or daily active users I have?
Here I am only talking about measuring registered users, please do not suggest Google Analytics
I also want to know how can I measure avg. monthly hour spend by users?

Try Intercom.io
You get visitor level information on how active they are etc.
https://www.intercom.io/ (disclosure: I'm an investor)
Also, any of the following
www.kissmetrics.com
www.mixpanel.com
www.heapanalytics.com/
I'd recommend KissMetrics. it allows you to track events on individual level. So you will know for each user how much time he has spend on the platform, what he has done exactly and how he is using it.
MixPanel is also a good option and they are quite similiar with some little differences.
Instead of spending more time and money on other products, if you have Google Analytics running on your site already. All you need to oo is add a custom variable say for example logginein: True/False and then you can easily filter for active users.
Let me know if you need help.

If you were hired by a SaaS company that needed to increase its free user base from 1,200 to 3,000 in 6 weeks w/a budget of $10k, how would you do it?
Top 2 tactics: Existing Users and Industry Influencers. First, leverage the existing user base. Incent referrals with $5 for every new free user they get to sign up and start using PT Engine for a new domain. Second, reach influencers and offer them the same deal when they tweet / post to / email their audiences. Make the offer a 60 day free trial instead of the standard 30 day so that they are providing value to the people they refer as well. This is critical - don't make them feel sleazy, make them feel (and look) like heroes to the connections they share PT Engine with. That's $9k to get 1800 users, leaving you $1k for graphics, referral tracking system, administrative costs. I assume the $10k budget does not include your time - if it does you'll have to reduce the incentive, which will definitely make it less appealing. Have you come across any sources for real-time research?
There are some market-research companies which have very detailed sector specific knowledge. Thus, they are not freely available for consumers. How can I use my cohort analysis by revenue to determine if I'm spending too much or too little in advertising?
You'll find that looking at top line revenue alone won't provide much value to you if you are asking the question "Is my advertising spend worth it?" Typically, in advertising I want to know the Lifetime Value of the customer or the Average Revenue Per User (ARPU). Then, it boils down to : If I spend $100 to acquire this new customer and he spends $150 over the lifetime of his paid relationship with me then, yes--- my ad spend is worth it. On the other hand: I could spend 10K this month in ads. I could sign up 20K in users/customers/top line revenue. But my data will tell me I spent MORE per customer/user than they are actually worth over the average lifetime. So that's what usually answers the "Is it worth it" question in any advertising scenario. 1. How much to acquire the user? 2. How much does the user spend over the avg lifetime? If it doesn't make sense, it's not worth it, regardless of what your top line revenue tells you. You might find this blog post on cohort analysts valuable as it goes into more detail. What is the best tool to visualize different types of data? I have all the info on my website but need a nice tool to visualize it.
Depending on the data, you can either use one of the following. Google Spreeshet / Charts: I use this for real time analytics generated from our system to quickly visualize the information. There's a simple JSON API that lets you pull that in although their is limits on the amount of rows you can use. Geckoboard: They provide dashboard type widgets you can configure to show you real time trends and information. Highcharts.com: Simple chart generator. We use this in our Admin Dashboard to visualize all our data include cohorts and weekly KPI's. I like simple and free.DM
