Navigating a Successful Job Search

After 20+ years of never having to look for a job, I was in a situation after a layoff to start something I hadn't ever done - a job search. As a sole money earner for my family, I dug in right away and learned every step of the way.
It wasn't easy. I struggled at times and learned to survive on the minor successes (someone influential responding to an email) - that eventually turned into major successes (interview at dream company). I learned about optimizing my social profiles, what tools so use in a job search, networking, managing my contacts, applying for jobs, working with recruiters, and interviewing - all in real time.
I landed a great job that met my job search goals.
Now, I've made it one of my life goals to help people get a start and flourish during a job search. (eBook coming soon!)
I've also turned this passion into career counseling. You don't need to wait until a layoff to put yourself in a better position to land your dream job this year. There are strategies you can start now.
