Goal Setting & Metrics (OKRs)
Created 6 years ago in Business / Getting Started

One of the most common ways that businesses and organizations go off track is when their goals are set, framed, and communicated in a way that leads to adverse outcomes instead of the intended objective. Companies like Intel, Google, Amazon and Microsoft all utilize a framework called Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) developed by Andy Groove to ensure that they achieve their goals.
While it's a brilliant tool, a tool is only useful if wielded well - I used OKRs poorly at my own company for years and it took several more years to learn the nuance and perspective tricks to turn it into a broader approach and understanding of goal setting and measurement to really drive success. I've been helping other organizations, founders, and executives make the most of their OKRs for over a year now and it continues to boggle my mind what a massive impact it can have on a company's success.
