Creating Faster Websites With Jekyll and GitHub Pages
Created 11 years ago in Technology / WordPress

In 2013, I moved my company's website from a PHP-based Content Management System (CMS) to GitHub Pages, and saw massive increases in speed, security, and design flexibility. This was due to the power of a tool called Jekyll, the anti-CMS behind popular sites like healthcare.gov (the part that DIDN'T break). Since then, I've migrated other sites and have been training others how to make the leap from Wordpress to Jekyll-powered awesomeness.
