Gamification

Zef is a great collaborator. His knowledge of the gamification industry, combined with his entrepreneurial and educational experience, prove him a valuable asset in the education consulting realm.

Zef is one of those rare individuals whose deep understanding of the world of education marries perfectly with a broad interest in the use of gamification and inter-active media as a means for enriching the learning experience. Zef was instrumental in introducing us to the potential within our products for increased user potential through exploration of online platforms for learning and game play. Zef is an excellent collaborator and idea generator.

As the father of three teenagers I became interested in gaming simulations for educational purposes and found what I was looking for in the game SimVenture. I arranged for Zef, the North American distributor for SimVenture, to be a keynote speaker at the 2012 BESAC conference discussing educational theory and gaming and his ability to distill complex theory into a dynamic and engaging fifteen minute presentation was truly impressive. Conference attendees were still talking about the presentation the next day.

It was during my M.Des Studies at NIFT i first met him. He took a module where we were asked to make a virtual shop for the Internet game the The 2nd life. I can never forget that module for the first time for a designing project we did drama, video filming, debate etc, and came up with a very nice presentation. And Sir took the winning group us to CCD for a coffee.

I have taken on the role of UKIERI project manager from Huzefa since his departure from our University in 2009. Huzefa was instrumental in obtaining this prestigious award. The award has given us an opportunity to collaborate with the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi in India. Huzefa structured the project with a strong vision; building creatively on the strengths of the School of Design and NIFT. He was entrepreneurial in his project management approach and showed in-depth understanding in structuring academic proposals.

I have known Huzefa for several years and he has been instrumental in building the SimVenture brand in North America. He has managed SimVenture exhibitions at national level conferences and built relationships with many educators in colleges and universities.

He has also helped us in setting up a CRM system which will help manage our leads and prospects. He independently runs marketing campaigns and recruits sales agents and trainers all over North America.

Huzefa (Zef) was a diligent and hard working colleague on the MBA program. He brought fantastic energy, cultural insight in to the Indian consumer experience which allowed our group to get a global feel for the MBA. I can recall getting some excellent marks by comparing and contrasting the UK economy with that of India. He is a great motivator, leader and team player, who shows promise for the future.
