Being a problem solver for founding CEOs has led me to wonderful places in my career. At Microtel, even though I was a junior employee, I sat in long sessions with the CEO and discussed vision, operations, crises and even personal struggles. Then at GEX VC, I solved a big problem for founding CEOs by providing seed capital to their startups. On other occasions, I worked with founding CEOs to solve strategy, recruiting, growth and operational problems. On the flip side, I worked with investors on due diligence, portfolio management, valuation and community building. These rich and delightful experiences teach me about the common struggles entrepreneurs deal with and how value is built by reliably solving real problems.
I admire the personal journey founders go through and have developed a deep appreciation for the ups and downs. I work hard to see the human side of building a company and that’s what’s made me successful in working with ambitious and result oriented founders. I’ve noticed a theme in all of the leaders I’ve worked with: the love of team. This is why they often called their teams “family”.
