I started playing around with Ruby a little over eight years ago and soon after found myself at a startup in Amsterdam where we ended up building their application with Ruby on Rails. Ever since those first hours playing around with the language I've been deeply in love with Ruby's expressiveness and how it just clicks with my brain. My ruby career took me from building MVPs for startups to being the Head of Ruby Development at a Munich and San Francisco based company. During that time I also developed a deep passion for teaching beginners and intermediate developers how to program and have for over four years been the residing Ruby / Ruby on Rails Instructor at Skillcrush Inc. Over the years I have worked on many different applications written in Ruby, many with the help of Rails plenty without.
