Digital Communications

Matt has set up and runs a fantastic LinkedIn group UKGOVSocialstars, which I have personally found invaluable. I've also found Matt to be really responsive, open and willing to share his extensive social media skills and knowledge.

I knew of Matt Navarra by reputation only, and then I was lucky enough to get to work with him for 2 weeks, when he covered a colleague's holiday leave at GDS. I was blown away by the amount of stuff that Matt knew, who he knew and just how far his social media and digital knowledge & networks stretched.

He is a great asset for anyone in digital or social media and though he is settled at IPO, if there was ever any chance of a move, he'd be snapped up.

Matt recently came to a social media event I arranged. His expertise, ideas, knowledge and experience all provided a lot of insight to the world of social media and the examples he used were fantastic. I would recommend him to anyone.

I worked with Matt when we delivered a training day on social media for NHS colleagues.

Matt's calm and articulate presentation style keep the whole room engaged and his first-hand experience of embedding social media coupled to great examples such as his BBC Dragons' Den digital collaboration motivated the whole group.

Matt has all that is needed to help educate and coach staff through the transition from old to new media.

Matt and I have worked together within the Government Communication Network (GCN) in Wales. GCN is a voluntary group that works to encourage communication collaboration within the public/private sector in Wales.

He’s a very knowledgeable advocate for the use of Social Media as a way of engaging with online audiences.

He’s been influential in IPO adopting a great Social Media strategy, and what Matt doesn’t know about Social Media, is probably not worth knowing about.

I'm very happy to recommend Matthew. I met him via LinkedIn and have seen his work for the IPO and how avividly he uses new media to keep people up to date with their work. He uses Twitter to its full potential and look forward to reading more about his work and the IPO itself.

Matt ran the social media aspects of the Review of Intellectual Property and Growth, which ran from November 2010 to May 2011. He did a great job scouring the blogosphere at all times of day and night to make sure the review team knew what was going on and was full of good suggestions about how and when to post. Highly energetic young man with excellent inbuilt communications radar and a good level of respect among his own colleagues at IPO.

In my experience of working with Matt, I have found him to be a thorough and creative individual who has been very successful in marketing communications projects that he has worked on.
