He joined when the company had c.400,000 customers, and when he left they had c.9,500,000, so he's seen the company through various stages of hyper growth. Matt is a Principal Product Manager with a proven track record of driving growth and innovation, he brings deep expertise in scaling products, launching financial solutions, and navigating complex international markets. During his five years at Monzo, he played a pivotal role in its growth from 400,000 to 9.5 million customers, owning key areas such as customer onboarding and activation, which were instrumental to Monzo's success. He developed Monzo's overdraft and personal loans products from scratch, launched app-enhancing features like bill splitting and early salary access, and built the foundation for Monzo's business banking product.
With extensive experience in payments--both domestic and international--he also led Monzo's European and US expansion efforts, gaining deep familiarity with these markets.
