Mark is an accomplished digital strategist and user centric design professional. He has over 15 years experience crafting innovative and immersive solutions for the web, mobile and social space.
Most recently held the role of Head of UX & Design at Vivant, one of Australia's leading human centred innovation teams.
Prior to this Mark spent over 7 years between the UK, North America and Australia with global financial powerhouses HSBC Group and Westpac Group, first as an eChannels CX Manager at HSBC's head office in London, and then by supporting the North American and Asian markets from HSBC's Vancouver office as a Senior UX Consultant. With a strong focus on innovation, experience design and product commercialisation, he was part of the team that designed HSBC's TV Banking interface, as well as helping to conceptualise their early mobile banking experience. Most recently Mark was the design lead for Westpac’s mobile proximity payments App; conceptualising, designing, and delivering Australia's first Android based embedded secure element solution. He has helped design products and services for Microsoft, McDonalds, Disney, the Canadian Government, and the Canadian Military among others.
He has also spent time as a business risk analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co, founded two companies in Canada; one being a UX digital design agency, the other a funded mobile startup focused on consumer engagement and insight. He studied business decision analysis at the University of Bournemouth in England and graduated with honours.
