I built nextMEDIA, one of Canada's most influential series of digital media business conferences and managed to grow the business by 700% in 7 years. I was responsible for:
1. Overseeing the design and implementation of fourteen two day business conferences and six award shows.
2. Leading the sales efforts for hundreds of corporate sponsors and thousands of paying customers annually.
3. The building and ongoing management of multiple executive level advisory boards.
4. Building relationships with multiple industry associations, government programs and industry publications.
5. Launching an industry publication delivered daily to over 15,000 digital executives inbox.
6. Acquiring a National Awards program and integrating it into offerings.
I subsequently went on to run Achilles Media a 30-person organization that produces more then 20 international business conferences and business development programs annually.
I have also participated and advised on multiple conferences and industry gatherings around the world.

I have spent the last 17 years helping individuals and organizations around the globe leverage digital trends and technologies to create business opportunities. I do this because I’m passionate about creating economic development opportunities for as many people as possible. During the dot com boom I worked with acclaimed Internet consultancy firm Razorfish in London and Milan to sell and deliver digital solutions to Fortune 500 clients. I’ve also built and managed sales and marketing teams responsible for generating millions in revenue. As Executive Producer of nextMEDIA, I built one of Canada’s most influential series of digital media business conferences. nextMEDIA played an important role in the doubling of digital ad spending in Canada and helped to support significant increases in funding for digital content initiatives, which created business opportunities for thousands of media and advertising executives. I subsequently went on to become Chief Operating Officer of Achilles Media where I was responsible for the daily operations of a 30-person organization. As a digital educator I’ve run the training program from one of Canada’s first entertainment focused digital accelerators. I’ve designed and taught digital curriculum at Ngee Polytechnic in Singapore. I spent a year in the Philippines supporting NGO’s as part of the Netcorps program. I have a Masters in Education from the University of Toronto and I have designed and hosted hundreds of workshops, presentations and keynotes around the world.
