Being devil's advocate and mentor to 50+ Stanford graduate student teams working on technology venture business plans in a variety of sectors (B2B and B2C) over the last decade. Every year, a dozen teams are formed of grad students with diverse academic backgrounds and work experience. They present their plans to a panel of reputed Silicon Valley VCs at end of quarter. My mentoring involves testing team's understanding of size of market opportunity, their knowledge of current and potential competitors, defensibility of their technology/intellectual property, and their fundamental assumptions about what it will take to attract customers.

For over an hour, he provided direct, pertinent feedback and suggestions to our questions. Though he did not have much experience in our space (Mobile Mktg Automation) he was right on in his observations. We consider ourselves lucky to have found him. After the call, he provided referrals for our various needs. Great call!

Mahesh's stress test raises very quickly the key difficulties to address to be successful and the discussion enriches the possible solutions. Mahesh knows a lot about startups, funding, investors and he answers clearly about current practices. A very valuable conversation.
