I've spent 23 years in market research, brand strategy and customer experience. My job is to figure out what makes companies stand out from the crowd, how they can be more competitive, and why their customers think, believe and behave in the ways that they do. I also spend my time making things look or function better—whether it’s the design of a Smartphone app, the creative treatment in a television ad, or the workflow on a factory floor.
My goal is to help my clients make smarter decisions, so they’re better at what they do. I help them think differently. I also help them figure out what makes them different, so they can improve their competitive edge as well as the experiences that their employees, customers and partners have with their brands.
I've worked for companies such as Apple, Bloomberg, Merrill Lynch, Citibank, VISA, Unilever, Coca-Cola, Disney, FedEx, HP, IBM, Microsoft, Intel, Merck, Pfizer, Sprint, Samsung, Target and Yahoo!
Over the years, I have been recognized by my industry and peers for my work in research and design (ESOMAR, QRCA, PMRG, MRA, UPA, Seybold*).
Before starting my own consultancy, I worked as Global Director of Research at Siegel + Gale, a large branding firm based in New York. Before that, I was VP of Qualitative Research at Ipsos, one of the largest research suppliers in the world. I also headed up the Customer Experience group at Charles Schwab. I was also an Adjunct Instructor at NYU and UC Berkeley.
