Curriculum design consultant, specializing in game-based and project-based education. Also: Swing, blues, and fusion social dancer, happy to teach a lesson or two.
I have been a swing, blues, and fusion social dancer for the last 3-4 years. I would be happy to teach you a basic blues lesson, so you can wow others on the dance floor!

I am a freelance project and game-based curriculum designer and consultant.
Have you ever thought your classes were too boring, or lecture-based? Have you heard rumors of alternative ways of teaching, but been unsure of how to approach it yourself?
This is where I step in. I spent my last four years studying the intersections between education and play at New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. As a student, I learned all about alternative teaching strategies by designing educational video games, curating various museum exhibits, and more. I spent my spare time working as a counselor for various interactive camps, including Construction Kids (http://constructionkids.com/) and Curious Jane (https://www.curiousjanecamp.com/). I also worked at various schools through NYU's America Reads and Counts Program.
When I was a Junior at University, I reached out to the founder of Curious Jane about working on their curriculum. Soon after, I became the company's main curriculum designer. Feel free to message me for curricula samples, or check out my portfolio (https://lilaffaria.wixsite.com/portfolio)
