Katy co-founded Village Life with her brother and sister in 2010. Village Life is a home builder and residential land developer in Washington with over $70 million in annual sales. In 2015, after sitting as the President of the Village Life, she transitioned into her current role as an active owner and board member.
After attending an angel investing boot camp in 2015, she began funding and advising startup companies. Previous to Village Life, she worked as a commercial real estate broker and Marketing Director for Coast Real Estate Services. She also participated in the Seattle University Family Business Institute round table program.
Currently, she is an officer of the McNaughton Foundation, a non-profit that her parents started in 2007 to help children in the local community. She is volunteering at the Youth Tutoring Program through Catholic Community Services and has worked as a paid tutor for over 30 students specializing in math.
Katy is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Washington and is a member of the New Home Council, the Urban Land Institute, the Master Builders Association, and Pipeline Angels.
She earned her B.S. in business administration with an emphasis in real estate development from the University of Southern California. She lives in a Seattle suburb with her husband and dog. Her interests include traveling, baseball, skiing, yoga, networking, natural health, reading and learning new things.
