Spirituality has always been a passion of mine. After over 30 years of religious life and many hours of being alone with God, I have found new life in exploring the intersection of prayer and our experiences of life. Our conversations will reference the wider Christian tradition, a wholistic understanding of personal development, and concrete tools for growth in prayer and closeness with God. There are many different ways to pray, and the way we pray changes throughout our life-span. Sometimes we need help exploring a way of praying that enables us to bring our whole selves to God, opening up in the radiance of his love, discovering ourselves transformed by his mercy.

How to Understand Your Emotions and Choose a Path of Peace and Prayer

After a stroke when I was 21, I embarked on a long journey of healing. It changed my life forever as I dove down to the depths of my own struggle to believe and to heal and came up with some pearls of wisdom which I have been developing in the years since. I have read and written widely on prayer, spirituality, healing and holiness, God's love and mercy, and how to understand what is happening in our hearts and lives so as to choose paths that bring us and other more peace and joy. Thus the name: HeartWork. To those who speak with me I offer the principles of HeartWork according to the situations and needs they bring to the conversation, leaving them concrete tools for moving forward. Though I am a Catholic, HeartWork has been helpful for anyone who acknowledges the existence of God and the power of prayer and gentle self-awareness. My conversation with you will offer you the basics of spirituality and prayer, as well as concrete input regarding healing and personal growth.
