Have you ever heard about a T - shaped lawyer?
A general council for Nissan Inc. said it right: "Until now, traditional lawyers sold their services in a steady environment; where their services were provided within a monopoly market, with little competition, while charging an hourly rate that encouraged inefficiencies".
In turn, if a lawyer wants to handle business in an ever changing world, it is now a necessity to manage skills in a T-shape. This means that aside from the legal knowledge, which is the technical expertise, the true element that gives aggregate value is the horizontal broad level of knowledge that improves the services provided to clients.
In that vein, technology is now a non-negotiable tool that lawyers need to understand to keep up with the fierce competition over marketshare.
Want to know how to implement new technologies into your legal services? Give me a call, I'll be happy to help. I'm a lawyer and political scientist from the Pontifical Xavierian University, widely interested in new developments that help lawyers succeed. This is why I took a course of Artificial Intelligence with the University of Helsinki, Finland.
I can take your call in English or Spanish.
