John Weathers, PhD. is the co-founder and chief research officer of QoreInsights, whose mission is to make evidence-based instruction possible, at scale. He has over 20 years of experience as a researcher, innovator, and educator in K-20 settings, leading multiple large funded research and development projects, including a recent study of teacher shortages in the Mississippi Delta. His research has been presented and published widely in such journals as the Educational Policy Analysis Archives, Journal of Disability Policy Studies, and Journal of Research on Leadership Education. Funded by USAID, he helped to lead development of award-winning STEM High Schools and Principal and Teacher Education Programs in Egypt. In addition to teaching secondary social studies, he has taught teachers, principals, and superintendents, and led professional development for audiences ranging from top government officials to entrepreneurs. He mentors edtech startups through the NYC StartEd accelerator and is a strategic advisor to several early stage companies.
