Joel is someone who always goes above and beyond in all his endeavors. His work ethic, analytical skills, and time management skills make him reliable and an asset to any team. Having lived and studied abroad throughout his lifetime, he is cultured and fully fluent in three languages. Joel is intelligent, creative, hardworking, and a pleasure to work with.
I worked with Joel during his internship at Bechtel. To tell you the truth, I often forgot he was an intern -- he was that good. He adjusted easily to our intense corporate environment, constantly took on challenges, showed a great deal of maturity and knowledge, asked insightful questions, and excelled at all his projects. I most closely worked with him on a large-scale survey, where he gathered information from hundreds of employees related to the company's interaction with media. He analyzed everything very meticulously, and looked to find the big picture in the data itself as well as the application of that data.
As far as go-getters are concerned, Joel is it! I was lucky to have intimately worked with him and see his dedication and energy towards ensuring customer satisfaction. He is constantly thinking about how to make things better for the customer by listening, understanding, coming up with a game plan and most importantly, executing. Joel doesn't waste time - if he sees a problem, he fixes it, and follows up to ensure his work is one of quality. I was constantly impressed with his enthusiasm, communication skills, professional demeanor, reliability and outstanding level of service. If you want to make things happen, you want him on your team.
It was such a pleasure to work with Joel - he was elected to spearhead the project and did an amazing job - well liked by all his team members - creative, superb knowledge of product and business analysis.
Joel was a great member of the team, so much more than "just an intern." He made my job easier -- especially when I was spent five weeks working on the East Coast.
Joel took great pride in his work. He was always interested in improving processes and products. Equally important, he also had the maturity and grace to accept when senior management wasn't ready to implement some of his suggested improvements.
Joel's greatest asset then was his poise -- how many college students could deliver a professional presentation to senior directors at one of the largest private companies in the world? Joel did it. Twice.
I worked with Joel on the business plan for this culinary start up and definitely enjoyed having him as a partner. Not only is he extremely well organized but he also one of the best people I know when it comes to managing talent and forming partnerships with others.
