Puppets on set have their own very unique needs. Shooting puppets- weather they are hand puppets (like the muppets) or animatronic operated heads on performers (like Aliens, Predators, or Skitters from Falling Skies) requires some pre-planning before shoot day. Connect for help planning what you will need to keep your production running smoothly, on time, and with no surprises.
Jeny is an excellent manager, conscious of the balance between creative objectives and available resources. Detail-oriented, Jeny maintains a conduit of communication with the client to accommodate creative changes that optimize results while assuring delivery deadlines of a project are met.
Jeny did some puppeteering work for an early incarnation of a feature film called "Edison & Leo." Not only was here work excellent and creative, her and her team were exceptionally professional and very helpful with the producing team who were very green in the puppeteering world. Jenny taught me a lot about the process and was very giving with her time. I would not hesitate to recommend her or hire Jeny again.
Jeny is one of the finest puppeteers and mask manipulators I have met. Her ability to breath life and thought into a character through movement is what sets her apart from many of her peers. She is also a "grab the bull by the horns" problem solver who will save any production she is involved with time and money. I look forward to the next opportunity to work with Jeny again.
Jenny Cassady, in addition to being an excellent puppeteer and actress, is a joy to have on set. She is professional, helpful, and always upbeat. It was a pleasure to work with her each day on our six-week project. She also has a wonderfully goofy sense of humor which served her in good stead during long work days. I recommend her heartily.
When director Tracy D. Smith approached me to produce the short film "The Puppet Life" alongside puppeteer Jeny Cassady, I was thrilled! As we developed and produced the adventures of little Charlie - a young boy who gets lost in a park - Jeny proved to be a wonderful producer partner. Not only did she take on the responsibilities of finessing the script, tweaking Charlie's costume and teaching him to walk, she also worked closely with the rest of our team to gather the resources we needed to get the film made on budget, and on time.
And in case you're wondering - she's a brilliant puppeteer!
