Seasoned and successful association executive and leader specializing in growth and change management for non-profit leaders; 16 years of experience in hospitality, tourism, lodging and recreation industries (10 years in golf, 6 years in lodging).
Jay is a dynamic and motivated association professional with great instincts about where the organization should be going! He encourages risk and is not afraid to seek counsel of others. His sense of humor and his ongoing commitment to executive development are always a source of stimulating explorations! And he is a real leader even among colleagues!
I have been a member of PAII for several years and have been following Jay as he joined PAII and now after a couple of years. This young man has done a fantastic job. He has invigorated and galvanized the organization. He is focused, dynamic, on the ball. I would say that he has shown the most outstanding leadership abilities because an organization of this size and diversity is no easy gig. Diplomatic, a great sense of humor, all the while keeping the members best interest very close to his heart. Hard hard working and relentless, he even managed to create a sound, positive, and constructive working relationship with every innkeepers nemesis, the dreaded "Trip Advisor" dragon. That is but one, but a telling example of his capability to listen to a constituency and then help solve their problem in the best way possible. Besides that, if you need to hear from more fans of Jay's just ask any member of PAII. Nothing but praise. No easy feat.
