As an experienced CTO, Founder and long time hiring manager, I know how hard it is to find good people to fill demanding technical roles, especially if you are non-technical or in the early stages of your company. I have one simple goal: to help you determine who is the right technical hire for your company. I will help you with job descriptions, pre-screening process, interview questions and interviewing, especially those focused on data science, natural language processing, search and machine learning.

I've spent all of my career in technology, first as a software engineer building complex applications in search, data science, machine learning and natural language processing and then as a founder and CTO/VP of Engineering. Along the way, I have interacted with numerous customers and excel at translating business goals into technical requirements. During that time I have reviewed countless resumes, conducted hundreds of interviews and hired, and unfortunately fired, both individual contributors and managers for numerous technical positions, not just software development. I am also the lead author of Taming Text, from Manning Publications, winner of the Dr. Dobb’s Journal 2013 Jolt Productivity Best Book Award.
