Hall of Fame inductee Gordon Gibbons has left an indelible mark on the world of college basketball. With two prominent head coaching positions under his belt, he has amassed a treasure trove of accolades and achievements.
Gordon’s tenure as the Clayton State Men's Basketball Coach (2001-2013) saw him breathe new life into a once-struggling Division 2 program, transforming it into a force to be reckoned with on both the regional and national stages.
Prior to that, his leadership at Florida Southern (1989-2000) yielded an impressive average of 25 victories a year, culminating in a stellar 246-65 record. His coaching prowess did not go unnoticed; he was crowned the Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year on three separate occasions.
