I was lucky enough to meet Gigi in May of 2012 in Montreal when we were both speakers at the #140MTL conference. I was immediately impressed with Gigi's speaking style and also her incredible sense of humor.
After the conference I began reading Gigi's blog and was hooked on her smooth and readable writing style. Only seasoned gifted writers write with such clarity and depth. Gigi is that and more.
I recommended Gigi for a small writing job and she did not disappoint - not by a long shot.
Without hesitation I would recommend Gigi for writing and editing work of any scale. You won't be disappointed, trust me.
I had the opportunity to work with Gigi during my time as Director/Senior Director Clinical Research at Centocor, where she supported multiple product development teams and departments. I was consistently impressed by Gigi's ability to work smoothly with multiple (internal) clients and teams at the same time, delivering high quality results on time regardless of challenging timelines and often competing priorities. Gigi always went the extra mile when circumstances called for it (e.g. to prepare a presentation for important meetings with regulatory authorities, sometimes at very short notice). Gigi's quick grasp of content, goals and intended audience of presentations and other visual displays enabled her to apply her creativity and experience in the most effective way, resulting in end products that frequently exceeded expectations.
Gigi offers so much more than creative graphic design. She has experience and knowledge of many other fields (facilitation, creative thinking, social networking, organizational development, etc.) that allows her to think both about the details of the project as well as the big picture. I first worked with her as a vendor where she really impressed me as someone who "got it," and when I had the opportunity to hire her, I jumped at it. And will do so again! Gigi is a definite keeper and a sharp person to have on your side.
Gigi brings tremendous energy, creativity, and experience to the projects we collaborate on at AstraZeneca. She approaches every project, big or small, with the same level of professionalism and passion. I have greatly enjoyed working with her on the team. She handles pressure well, delivers quality results, and has a strategic vision that has provided value well beyond the stated need. I highly recommend Gigi Peterkin if you are looking for top notch talent.
Gigi is very organised, planning with you the steps to take to produce a good communication, with enough time for version review, bringing creative ideas to the table for layout and content for the article. I worked with Gigi over a number of publications, and even when drafted in at the last minute, Gigi would so a very thorough job and produces high quality work.
Gigi is an extremely capable commmunications professional - adept at translating complex pieces of information into simple, understandable messages, tailored for different audiences. She turns work around quickly, will challenge in the right places and deploys good influencing skills to get the right result.
Gigi is a triple threat...she is strategic, innovative, and a top-notch communicator. Gigi sees the big picture and engages the right people to produce a quality product. A consummate knowledge of organization, industry, and communication technology enables Gigi to fous her attention and writing talent in the right way at the right time--crucial skills in our discipline. She is also the interactive media guru and greatly respected for her knowledge in this area, which is rapidly gaining importance in all industries. I would recommend her highly.
Gigi is PHENOMENAL. She gets the Dr. Maya Angelou "Phenomenal Woman" Award!!! Upon meeting Gigi at the 2010 PhRMA annual meeting, she very clearly and expertly helped me to better understand the importance and value of social media and how to get more information out on social media platforms. After a 7 minutes conversation, I better understood how to advertise and get people to view the association's Facebook page. She was too fabulous at the National Black Nurses Association 2010 conference in San Diego, introducing to the conference participants how to use social media for any of the association's pillars, especially advocacy. The conference participants really appreciated that Gigi used Skype as she could not attend the conference. It helped to advance the point that all types of medium can be used to communicate within a global market place. We look forward to working with Gigi as the association moves forward with its advocacy program and beyond.
