Public Speaking: How to Deliver Your Message Clearly & Effectively
Created 11 years ago in Skills & Management / Public Speaking

Are you preparing for an important presentation?
It might be a 30-minute session, half-day seminar, five-minute speech, ten-minute report or a 90-second self-introduction. The point is that you are expected to stand up before and audience and convey your message clearly, confidently and successfully.
Here are some of the issues and questions that I’m often asked to address:
How to convey more confidence
Be more persuasive without being pushy
Establish rapport faster
Grab and hold attention
Give enough information without killing them with data
Write the presentation faster
Talk clearly about complex issues
Talk more comfortably to a difficult audience
Handle questions more effectively
Deal with hostile questions and angry people
Use the right kind of humor that works well
How to recover from a memory lapse
How to manage with things go wrong
How to stay on time or cut it short
How to be better prepared
Those are some of the common questions I’ve received from coaching and training clients.
Why Me?
I can certainly address many more issues because I’ve been speaking professionally for over 18 years. During that time I’ve coached hundreds of executives, professionals and entrepreneurs. I’ve also trained thousands of managers, technical experts and business students. I’ve published hundreds of articles on the topic of presentation and communication.
I was shy introvert who learned HOW to speak in public. That’s why I’m a good teacher because I had to learn the skills myself.
Drop me a line with your key concern and I’ll let know if I can help.

George has strong marketing expertise and is able to grasp the broad picture while providing concise input on projects. George has also given generously to the not-for-profit sector in his talk "Presentation Secrets for NPOs", which I have coordinated several times. It's always a pleasure to hear his presentations no matter the subject as he's a compelling presenter. George is an engaging and passionate man, and an asset to the business community.

Thanks for your time and professional guidance extended to me prior to my recent public speaking engagement. The audience consisted of several different nationalities with varying (and often conflicting) opinions. Your helpful direction allowed me to confidently and effectively deliver the message. It's appreciated. Dale
Having known George for the better part of two decades, I have seen (and heard) his career as a professional speaker flourish. George and I first worked together on committees at the Burlington Chamber of Commerce. I was proud to also recommend George as one of the guest lecturers at the Chamber School we used to have - the Canadian Institute for Organizational Management. I highly recommend George. His message, style and personality all combine for a memorable and impactful presentation.

George recently spoke at the Stoney Creek Chamber of Commerce. He is a very engaging speaker who keeps the audience involved and interested. He shares personal stories to build credibility and provides solid advice and tips that any business person could benefit from.
This is the second time George has spoken at our Chamber and from the feedback we received from our members I am sure it will not be the last!

Source: LinkedIn Ray Silvestri Dec 11, 2013George is a dynamic and engaging speaker. He uses a practical approach to marketing - his points are easy to understand, well thought out and easy to utilize in your business. Often marketing speakers put on a great show but afterwards you have nothing to take back to work. George gives you the great presentation and practical ideas to implement.
Source: LinkedIn Eric Cameron Dec 11, 2013I always enjoy George's down-to-earth, practical approach to marketing. He shares a simple yet powerful message, practicing what he preaches: "Success is as simple as doing little things consistently right" and "It's not what you know that counts but what you DO that counts". Any size group could benefit from George's motivating presentations.
