George is currently raising capital for a startup subprime auto finance company called Pine Forest Financial. Prior to Pine Forest George worked in Hewlett Packard’s Corporate Development group where he preformed some of the initial overhead analysis that paved the way for the company’s split into two separate, publicly traded companies.
Prior to HP, George worked at Leucadia National (NYSE: LUK) where he was responsible for all aspects of managing, acquiring and divesting portfolio companies. There, George built up and sold the second largest telecom company in Barbados. He was also in charge of managing Leucadia’s part in a Joint Venture with Ken Garff Enterprises (one of the country’s top 15 auto retailers) and also worked on the integration and ongoing operations of the acquired commercial mortgage origination and servicing division of Capmark bank (now Berkadia).
George began his career in Investment Banking at Bear Stearns & Co. Where he worked on public Debt and Equity offerings as well and Mergers and Acquisitions.
George graduated with high honors from the University of Utah with a Bachelor and Master degree in Finance.
