MenuBuilding and Managing Remote Software Development Teams
Created 5 years ago in Technology / Ruby
I've built several very successful agile remote teams by adapting the practices of co-located teams such as Hashrocket and PivotalLabs to work in widely distributed teams.
For the last 5 years I've been leading very wide (globally distributed) teams.
In my recent projects I was the Tech Lead on the teams that built www.plateology.com, subout.com, hiresuccess.com, greenbot and tdcbridge(www.tendigitcommunications.com).
Here are a few recommendations I've received for my work on past projects (see my profile for many more)
"Gordon is simply awesome, a great line manager, developer and friend. Always a pleasure." Thomas Howe, VHT CTO
"Gordon is a rockstar developer with the rare combination of very strong communication and technical skills.
His architectural decisions are pragmatic and borne of years of experience, and his ability to communicate, justify, and explain those decisions to both stakeholders and fellow team members bars none.
He always asks probing questions that help expose areas that we may not have considered and challenges our beliefs for the better, all while maintaining a fantastically friendly and welcoming attitude.
I believe Gordon will be an invaluable team member for any technical organization." Han Chang, Coinfi Co-founder & CTO
