She is experienced in creating and facilitating face-to-face and online learning programs, and has produced several MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) focusing on diversity & inclusion and sales & management topics. Garvey brings knowledge, networks, and experience working across diverse cultures and organisations in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America.
Garvey has a coaching practice working with founders through the startup life cycles, individuals on personal and professional transitions, and executives on building their legacy. Garvey is a learner, promoter, and connector for initiatives and technologies that aim to tackle and disrupt ineffective ways of providing basic needs and rights to the masses. She is passionate about anything "below the waist, above the knee" and is working with new technologies and organisations committed to providing education for those in crisis situations. She is an alumnus of CISV, Leadership Calgary, Canada25, and was honoured as one of Hong Kong's "Women of Hope" by HK Magazine in 2014 and selected as a ‘Champion for Diversity’ by the United Nations Association in Canada in 2006.
