Academic & Career Counseling Professional. Employed in Higher ED. Provides consulting to students interested in pursuing graduate or professional school.
Hello, my name is Francesca and I am a academic and career counseling professional in the San Francisco Bay Area. My expertise is providing academic and career counseling to college students and alumni.
An area I've come to enjoy and thrive in is providing career advice and support to current students and alumni. For the last few years I have helped recent graduates with the graduate school process. Applying to graduate school is a complicated process that takes time, patience, support, and flexibility.
I meet with students individually to discuss their interests, questions, and concerns as it relates to graduate school. I particularly support students on answering the following questions:
-Does this graduate program support your career goals?
-Does this graduate program support you with finding a job or provides you the skills to obtain a job post graduation.
-What is the mission/vision/values of the graduate program, how does that tie in to your own personal values.
-How connected or dedicate are the faculty? What are some of the projects their working on to stay current in the field?
-Mental Health and Stress
-Being a full-time graduate student vs. part-time graduate students
-What attracts me to this particular school/graduate program?
-How to best maximize the process of applying to graduate school.
If you would like some useful tips and support as you navigate your interest in graduate school, I'm happy to help you!
