As a funeral arranger of 7 years I help families plan and prepare funeral services for someone who has recently passed. As a funeral arranger, my job duties include meeting with families, planning the format of funeral services, organizing times for the funeral services (Visitation, Memorial, Graveside and Reception), and the burial or cremation, and making arrangements for floral decorations and refreshments. It is my duty to ensure we are abiding by the state laws, Submitting proper documentation for the permit to burial/cremate and Death Certificates. Understanding the laws that dictates who is legally authorized to control disposition (Health and Safety Code 7200). I must be empathetic and compassionate to work with grieving families under stressful conditions.
