I hired Dustin into Yahoo! in late 2006 to help get Symfony introduced at Yahoo!
He came in and with his help and in-depth Symfony expertise, we managed to get bookmarks.yahoo.com and answers.yahoo.com and www.delicious.com implemented, using Symfony.

Dustin and I first worked together on Yahoo!'s Application Platform, building the front-end for 3rd party developers to manage their applications on the Yahoo! network. I was immediately impressed by Dustin's open communication and quick turnaround times.

A core contributor to Symfony, Dustin is extremely knowledgable about this MVC framework. However, the scope of his knowledge is much broader than Symfony or PHP. He keeps track of comparable frameworks such as Rails and Django to find inspiration for improving Symfony and his own skill set.

Dustin is a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top notch developer, troubleshooter or architect.

Dustin is a great person to work with and for. We first met in January 2009 as fellow evangelists at Yahoo!, and worked together regularly through June 2010. In April 2010, Dustin invited me to contribute to a project he was lead engineer on, and for three months he managed my work as a part-time member of his team.

Dustin is a skilled engineer and sincere evangelist, but his open approach to collaboration deserves special mention. I saw it most clearly as a member of the team mentioned above. He welcomed people who wanted to contribute, and actively incorporated internal and external tools. The end result was a high quality product, requiring less effort to produce, and a high degree of satisfaction for all who participated.

I am grateful for the time we were able to work together, and would be very happy to work with him again.
