Positive values need to be taught. Without positive values as a guide or beacon; a person's behavior will generally reflect a self-serving expediency. With positive values in place, behavior will be more other-oriented, more in keeping with a recognition of one's membership in a larger group, with an awareness that one's attitudes and behaviors influence others, and awareness that everyone's quality of life is enhanced when those values are internalized and implemented. I have spent years of schooling earning a Masters in Educational Psychology, and a Bachelors in Behavioral Science to promote and teach positive values; so we can have positive families which will lead to a positive and better society.
