So much has changed this year due to the Covid-19 global pandemic. It is normal to be struggling, to feel unmotivated or even hopeless. So many of our normal coping mechanisms are no longer effective, and may not even be currently accessible. Many people are more isolated than ever before, while enduring massive cultural and social trauma and unrest. Being able to see where we do have agency within an overwhelming situation can increase resiliency and deepen our capacity to cope with stress.
If you are struggling with communication and intimacy or how the pandemic has altered your personal relationships, I can help you learn how to set boundaries and express your needs. If you're feeling stressed and overwhelmed, we can work together to create a self-care plan, and help you build self-compassion and resilience.
I have experience with advocacy and crisis intervention, and through psychoeducation, can help normalize and contextualize the intense thoughts, feelings, and sensations which are a normal and human response to prolonged stress. My background in drama therapy will also allow me to help you identify roles in your life that are no longer working for you, and practice new ways of being and interacting with the world around you.
Sometimes just being able to hear an outside perspective and have a safe space free of judgement to discuss your issues can help you figure out what next steps make sense for you. If you're feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, lost, or confused right now, it's okay. I'm here, and together we can figure out what next steps make sense for you. Just give me a call.
