Dallas is an amazing person. I've known him for years, in a range of ways, yet in every sense he's shown his intelligence, creativity, integrity and drive to help people.
Dallas is certainly not just an owner of Dreamhost, but he's a musician, artist, and more. But while we can often put superhuman strength and dedication into our passions/arts, not everyone brings that to their business.
While Dallas has never been the one who's actually responsible for dealing with me regarding my hosting, he's never hesitated in being a sounding board and resource for my occasional problems. When someone goes that far to help you when they have no real need to, that shows not just that they like you (it helps) but that they are truly behind this thing they've created. And Dallas is certainly standing firmly behind Dreamhost.
I've used many web hosts over the years and I haven't used any other since 1998 - that should tell you something. Thanks Dallas.
