Serial entrepreneur and adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at UNC Business School, Craig offers strategy, product and business model innovation, and business operations guidance.
I have designed and produced numerous products for my companies and for clients. Most of the products are knowledge-based information products, where I have also helped build the engine to sell them. I have also designed and had built several software products that have been commercial successes.
I have implemented the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) at multiple companies, driving much greater performance and focus. In addition, I have spent years clarifying the process for building high-performing organizations. I can help you "fix" performance issues with a set of simple tools that have proven effective with more than 600 companies.
I have started and run three companies (fourth in progress). I coach entrepreneurs through UNC Business School, where I have also taught the Entrepreneurship class.
I not only teach professional networking regularly, I also built a company (TribeSpring) specifically to drive more referrals through more effective networking.
I have been working with entrepreneurs and executives on the Business model Canvas to build more effective business models for more than two years. I have even created a game that forces business owners to think differently about their business to generate innovations and differentiation.
Lots of people give you namby-pamby answers and tell you how great you are. It doesn't help. What I offer is genuine "speak the truth in love" guidance that will help you REALLY address the issues that you face. NO BS, just honest feedback from 20 years of experience as an executive in numerous roles and companies.
Building strategic partnerships is one of the fastest ways to grow a business, but get it wrong and it could put you out of business. I have been forging alliances for more than a decade and am known for making the connections that make business happen.
My brain is wired to see the big picture and connect dots, which is what strategy is all about. From business modeling to providing guidance on how you should proceed with product and business development, I have experience across the entire business spectrum.
I worked with Craig at McKim & Creed for many years. Part of that time he was my direct supervisor in his role as Chief technology Officer. Craig is a real people person and a great manager of people. It was a pleasure working with Craig.
Craig was attentive and always full of ideas and recommendations for getting my business off the ground. He is very generous and excited to share and discuss resources whether they be books, articles, or connections.
When I first started the FastTrac program with CED, I was just starting out with the concept of developing a business on my own. Craig worked with me and explained business concepts in a simple and thorough manner. He also was very quick with solid referrals to help get my business off of the ground. Craig is well connected and knowledgeable. I recommend Craig as a Business coach/mentor/consultant and will be utilizing his services in the near future again.
Craig is a detail-oriented manager who watches the balance sheet like a hawk without losing sight of the strategic objective.

A true entrepreneur. With experience in software, engineering, management, business development and project management, Craig has a valuable and unique set of skills and is always adding more. For startups, management is a dichotomy of strategy and execution, and Craig excels at both. Also a great person to work with and to know, as willing to teach as he is active in learning.
Craig is a critical thinker and evaluator and works well with others. He will succeed at what he chooses to do.
Craig is an intelligent and energetic team leader. I've known him for over a decade and have always been impressed with his positive can-do attitude and creativity. During his tenure at McKim & Creed, Craig attracted and built a talented and tech savy team, few in number but phenomenal in the service they provided then and now.
From time to time I had the pleasure of working with Craig and always found him to be the innovator, consistently looking at problems or tasks in different ways, asking good questions, and offering options. Invite him to brainstorm wtih you, you won't be disappointed.
Craig is actively involved with the Durham Chamber. As the Chair of our Small Business Council he is enthusiastic, creative and really has a deep understanding of the needs of small business owners. His positive energy paired with his great sense of style are enough to light up any room and the Chamber is lucky to have him as part of the team.
Via the Danish Government program - GazelleGrowth - which is designed to help small innovative Danish companies expand into the US market, I have had the pleasure of being introduced to Craig.
