At 20, I was the coach of a youth football team, made-up exclusively of kids from Compton, CA -- next to where I was born-&-raised. (NFL: Los Angeles Rams, way-back-when.) Two different stops in Germany: Hamburg & Stuttgart. And more recently, defensive coordinator in the Canadian Football League (CFL), from Toronto to Vancouver; notably with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, back-to-back GreyCup championship games. I piece-together JOY-based, winning cultures, knowing -- in the end -- it's always about the Magic of people working together.
