Chuck coached our daughter as a young age group swimmer where, under his program and coaching, she developed a long term love of the sport. Chuck's brought a combination of enthusiasm, interpersonal skills, and technical knowledge that enabled his team members to learn & develop, achieve results, and enjoy the experience.

He also understood that, although he was hired as a swimming coach, he could teach us other things. This included, but was not limited to, the value of hard work and discipline, integrity, intensity, and sportsmanship. I will always remember one practice where he devoted the entire time to practice tight and effective turns, and the one summer where he thought to captivate his swimmers' attentions (all relatively young) by displaying goals in a game - like manner, and including rewards. He went above and beyond, was creative, and didn't think of coaching as just a job with a payroll.
