Christine is absolutely awesome. She knows her material and sincerely loves what she does, and it shows. She works like a ball of charged electric energy, and lights up those around her with her passion and enthusiasm.
It was an absolute pleasure working for Christine. She always treated me with honesty and fairness, gave me stimulating work, and engaged my feedback and full participation in the projects that we worked on. She is generous with her knowledge and in the few months that I worked with her, I learned more about communications and social media than I ever could have in class.
Highly recommend Christine and wish her and Rena nothing but the best with their burgeoning company!

Source: LinkedIn Amelia Warren Dec 3, 2013It was a pleasure to work with Christine during her time assisting the Small Business Roundtable. She showed her innate capacity for introducing ideas in a way that respected and supported our business processes while directly commuicating how new ideas could be harnessed to help us achieve our organizational goals.
Christine has sharp intelligence and exceptional interpersonal skills. She understands the complex, overlapping issues that impact communications strategy in the age of social media. That is particularly impressive in her field, as it is constantly changing. She is a forward thinker, and a sought-after speaker. She is effective at building and maintaining her networks. She is thoughtful and insightful, and brings energy and excitement into a room. She is wonderful to work with.
Source: LinkedIn Garth Frizzell Dec 3, 2013Brilliant. Endless wit. Empathetic. Innovative. Challenging. Erudite futurist with a firm grasp of what is needed now, and will be needed later. These are just a few of the words I use to describe the amazing professional that Christine is.
I had the opportunity of learning from "scratch" many things, including how to understand and use social media to enhance all facets of the human resources experience for our current and potential employees. Part of this experience included an interactive and fun social media training session that engaged all our generations (X, Y and M) – the day flew by and every person learned more than one thing to bring to their work.
From the moment you meet and start working with Christine you can exhale and know that you and your organization will learn and grow and be better - you + your organization will be in the care of an exceptional mind and person. Phenomenal!
I have had the pleasure of working with Christine a number of times. Her ability to convey her knowledge and expertise across a room of professionals of different backgrounds and experience levels is something I come across rarely as a conference organizer. She is open and honest in her delivery and in a room of 20 she can make you feel like she is working with you one on one!
I highly recommend Christine as a speaker/trainer for any event that involves social media, crisis communications or marketing!!!
Christine is a storyteller at heart and this comes through in her work, adding a strong human element to everything she does. She's passionate, hardworking and very knowledgeable (and she has a great laugh!). I worked with her on several projects on which she brought a unique perspective and added important considerations to the discussion.
Christine is not afraid of technology and dives in to new things in order to find ways to effectively use them to support her work and her clients' objectives. She and I were both members of a working group brought together to bring social technologies into the BC government, and Christine's contributions to that group were really valuable. There was a lot of technical and policy work required, which she was very good at, but she was especially good at the change management portion of the task. It was a huge change for government and required a lot of different angles to demonstrate the benefits and get employees from various areas comfortable using the technology, and Christine's work was instrumental in doing that.

When the You Gotta Be Here website for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games was first proposed (http://www.yougottabehere.com), we had a very short time line in which to get the project running. Christine embraced this with optimism and inspired us with her "think big" attitude and creativity on the fly. In the end, we didn't deliver just a website, but a full-fledged online and social media campaign.
In the constantly evolving social media field, continual learning is essential. Christine not only knew the latest and emerging technologies and strategies, but shared this knowledge with us. I particularly appreciated her informative links and ever growing social media library she developed for us.
In addition, I always felt supported while working for Christine. She always had time for my questions or requests for input but also gave me the freedom to complete projects and assignments on my own.
All of this made working for Christine fun, interesting, challenging and rewarding.

Source: LinkedIn Alison Paine Dec 3, 2013Christine is a detailed and action-oriented person. She is also a very strategic thinker.
While working with her, there were approximately eight individuals within our working group and Christine managed their workflow, conducted quality-control on their work and directed them on file assignments.
Christine was responsible for ensuring that employees were assigned the proper files for their work, oversaw the quality of their work by editing and correcting it, and moving the files forward for approval. When asked, Christine also stepped in to the role of filling in for the Communications Director.
Christine was also extremely innovative - suggesting the use of greater use of social media and how that would move our corporate goals forward and be strategic for the global government message. She was the first Director of Social Media hired within our corporate public affairs bureau. This was due to her initiative and drive!
She was also responsible for conducting performance evaluations on the employees. Christine was kind, considerate, and passionate about our work and gave it 120% commitment!
Our Communications Director, at the time, recommended her for greater things, and I was sorry to loose her as a colleague and a friend for whom I relied on during my time at the Ministry.
I would recommend Christine in any capacity that an organization is looking to hire for!
Source: LinkedIn private private Dec 3, 2013Christine came to government communications with a strong background in PR as a consultant, and a real nose for policy. She was a strong issues manager, with a quick ability to see a path forward on an issue. She was a detailed-oriented event manager, and builds good relations with the press.
Her more recent growth as a social media maven is a good example of how a senior communicator can emerge as a leader in new media as well. I learn from her daily on how to be effective in this new space.
A delightful, energetic, family and community-oriented person, she is alwasy a great addition to a team.
