Chris is one of the most inspiring mentors and leaders that I've ever come across. He digs deep into muddy analytical and engineering initiatives -- territory where few are confident enough to take complete command (and achieve stellar results). Chris does more than solve problems, however. He is constantly encouraging others to lead, flourish, and grow. When I was starting out in analytics, I was a nervous wreck. Chris empowered me with the self-confidence to consider myself a true expert in my trade. For that, I will be forever grateful. Chris is one of those leaders who will simply change your life.

Great manager and mentor.

I worked with Chris at Intel back when he was a SR Software Engineer. He was technically competent as an Engineer and had strong project management skills. These observations were confirmed by his management over the years based on his many promotions.

As a manager, Chris was able to remove numerous roadblocks to the project by interacting with several people among the project team. He clearly defined roles within the teams as well as individual expectations. He took ownership of his responsibilities and was accountable for his own action.

Chris easily got along well with others and created relationships with various heads of other groups. Through these relationships, he was able to create solutions for current problems as well as prepare for future issues.

Chris' management skills are also well-developed. He regular holds meeting with his direct reports and presents a clear picture of where the team is headed for the rest of the year and into the next. He also concentrates on the professional career of his direct reports by offering them training options, placing them on well-balanced project teams, and assigning them challenging tasks to help promote their professional growth.

Most importantly, Chris was always available. If we ever needed to talk to him regarding something professional or personal, he had always tried to make time to discuss it.

I worked with Chris on a cross-functional team for the trial (Technical Adoption Program) for social networking software. Chris is imaginative and grasps the implications of new, disruptive, emerging technologies. He is an experienced technical project manager who knows how to put all the pieces together and deal with the mishaps that can occur with experimental software. He is outgoing, cheerful, proactive, follows through, very bright and fun to work with. I highly recommend him.
